Canning Process

Begin with a large canning stock pot.
Place your jars in the rack and into the pot.
Add water to cover the tops of the j
ars. Cover with the pot lid and bring water to a boil.
Place the jar lids in a small saucepan
filled with water. Simmer on low heat until needed.
Remove jars from boiling water with tongs and place on a towel, upside down to drain.
Fill warmed jars with hot product. Leaving ¼ to ½ inch head space. Wipe jars clean to make sure to get a good seal.
Place lids from warmed water onto the tops of your jars and hand tighten rings.
Remove some of the water in your stock pot.
Place the canned product back into the water carefully, using tongs.
Bring water to a boil and boil for recommended time, usually 10 to 20 minutes.
